Impact of Tax Reform Act on Charitable Giving (Planned Giving Session)

Networking will begin at 11:45am with the presentation to start at 12:00pm. Lunch will be provided. First time guests are free to attend the event and any returning guests will be $20.

The session will be moderated by Tim Passaro (Attorney), Lisa Cripps-Downey (President, Berrien Community Foundation) and Brandi Smith-Gordon (President, Lakeland Health Foundation). The session will feature a brief look at charitable giving in light of the new tax laws along with an introduction into gifting of hard-to-value assets. Real life examples of non-traditional gifting will be shared to learn new avenues to help clients make those types of charitable gifts.

Tim will share some options for clients under the new tax law and also discuss options for gifting of non-liquid assets. Additionally Lisa & Brandi will share some examples of how gifting of non-liquid assets such as art work or property can help achieve charitable goals.
